1971 Chris Craft 454 Jet Boat

Description

This 1971 Chris Craft Jet Boat is the baby brother to the highly collectible XK 19 and the XK22, except it has the rare 454 Guardian motor, making over 400 hp.  I bought it from the collection of Roger Pacina of Cassopolis, MI in 2016.  I immediately took it to the lake, but although it would start, it would not stay running.  I dropped it off at Dry Dock Marine Center in Angola, IN, where they discovered there was no compression in the #6 cylinder.  the heads went to H & S Machine to be rebuilt with hardened valve seats so it can run on pump gas.  the lower end of the motor was checked out and found to be ok.  The exhaust manifolds, headers and valve covers were repaired as needed and polished.  a new camshaft and a NOS Edelbrock 4bbl carb were added as was a new HEI ignition system for safe and reliable starts.  the Jacuzzi jet pump was re-machined and fitted with a new bearing. Aa new steering cable was added too.  i had a new windshield made from the original Chris Craft mold.  Altogether over ,000.00 was spent to make this boat safe, reliable and Fast! a recent change in my health forces me to sell this rare and fabulous boat.  it comes with a trailer, a custom cockpit cover, life jackets, a new battery and is ready to go today!
