1960s AMF SurTrek ATV 8x8 Amphibious

I am selling an AMF Sur Trek. This is an amphibious 8 wheeled ATV. There were only a couple hundred of these units made in the late 1960s. This unit was/is being rebuilt.  I have all brand new bearings, rebuilt transmission, installed a new 4 stroke Vanguard motor, 8 new tires and rims, all new sprockets, and more. A lot of the work has been done so far but there is still more to do. I have the majority of the components to finish the project minus a couple cables, new chains (have old ones), new muffler and possible hardware (nuts and bolts) to attach all those new items. I do have a box of original nuts and bolts that were removed during rebuild. As well as I have a parts breakdown of all the sections of the unit from the manufacturer and manual.
There are a few holes in the fiberglass where the chains have rubbed through during use (VERY common in these units, I was going to reinforce with steel and fiberglass over). When we moved the movers also lost the old engine cover (with new motor it wouldn’t fit anyway), and the front windshield. The sprockets have not been installed on the axles either.
I am selling this unit for 00. Not only is this a unique ATV but with the price of all the new parts we have over 4500 in NEW components. The motor, clutch and tires alone were 00, plus all the other replacement parts. All you would need to do is finish the project.
